Full disclosure here: I had no idea what to expect from Sam when I spoke to him. The time I was able to speak to him was after the game the other night and talking to guys after a game about anything not game related is risky because win or loss guys are in a different mindset.
There’s also how Sam feels about the bunch of us in media here. I assumed he and I were on good terms and you know what they say about assuming. When I approached him I said hello, good to see you and I wasn’t going to ask about *anything* having to do with what happened while he was here. He was very happy to hear that and he was superb about Tage. I’m thankful for that (obviously) but that was also a media compliment of sorts from him. I always appreciated Sam while he was here and he was always patient and professional with me.
